PANS - ENG - CAR - Traces and Aromas of Coffee in Santos - 4 hours

Description: the coffee cycle was one of the great drivers of the growth of Brazil and the city of Santos. During this extensive period, the city lived with the ills of slavery, however, it contributed to the abolitionist and republican movements in a pioneering way.

Itinerary: we will start our tour
by taking a panoramic walk along the coast of Santos beach before heading to
the historic center. Upon arrival, we will talk to a coffee expert who will
give a presentation on the main characteristics of the bean.

Afterwards, we will take a walk through the port
area and then visit the imposing Coffee Museum, where the Official Coffee
Exchange operated. There, we will learn a little about the history of coffee in
Santos and the historical aspects of coffee production in the country.
We will continue walking along Rua XV de
Novembro (the old “Brazilian wall street”) to the traditional Rei do Café to
participate in a presentation on the “green gold” roasting process and, of
course, taste a different coffee to replenish our energy. And it's on us!
